“The aromatics are deep blackberry and boysenberry, with notes of citrus zest and florals; the palate is layered with dusty tannins, Black licorice, cardamom, coffee beans, and a dry finish.”
Hill & Blade
Zinfandel, Lodi 2022
Intensely aromatic and layered. Bursting with ripe blackberries, sun-warmed plums and black cherries. Hints of dark chocolate, espresso grounds and vanilla bean emerge, from well-integrated new oak.
The palate is full-bodied, plush and opulent, yet remarkably balanced for a Zinfandel. Rich fruit core with flavors of brambly blackberry, fig jam and ripe boysenberry.
